For the first time, Suns fans can vote for their favorite dancers on Suns.com

PHOENIX – Phoenix Suns fans possessing the style, skill and enthusiasm to be a member of one of the premier NBA Dance Teams are encouraged to audition for the 2008-09 Suns Dancers, beginning Saturday, August 2. Registration begins at 10 AM in the Casino Arizona Pavilion at US Airways Center.

Prior to auditions, each candidate must attend a minimum of one Prep Class in order to fully prepare each dancer for the audition process. Dancers must be 18 or older to participate and bring a non-returnable photo and resume.

In addition, Suns fans will have an opportunity to help select the Suns dance team by casting their vote on Suns.com. Fan balloting will take place from Tuesday, August 5 through Tuesday, August 12.

The chosen dancers will be selected based on the combined results of the judging panel and Suns fans. This year’s team will be announced on Wednesday, August 13.
