PHOENIX — The Phoenix Suns will tip-off the club’s 40^th NBA season with an eight-game preseason schedule that includes three contests at US Airways Center, the team announced today. Free-agent acquisition and seven-time NBA All-Star Grant Hill and 2007 first-round draft pick Alando Tucker are expected to make their Suns debuts.

The Suns will open the preseason on the road for the third consecutive year against the Sacramento Kings on Thursday, Oct. 11 at ARCO Arena. The club will host three preseason games in the Valley of the Sun on Saturday, Oct. 13 vs. the New Orleans Hornets, Monday, Oct. 15 vs. the Utah Jazz and Thursday, October 25 vs. the Denver Nuggets. All three home games will tip-off at 7 p.m.

Phoenix will play three games in four nights in Los Angeles, beginning with a game against the L.A. Clippers on Thursday, Oct. 18 at the Staples Center. The Suns will then participate in the LA Shootout against the Clippers, L.A. Lakers and Charlotte Bobcats. The winner of the Suns-Clippers game on Saturday, Oct. 20 will play the winner of the Lakers/Bobcats on Sunday, Oct. 21, which will be preceded by a game against the losers of Saturday’s games.

The Suns wrap up preseason play north of the border against the Seattle SuperSonics on Friday, Oct. 26 at General Motors Place in Vancouver, British Columbia. It will be a preview of the Suns’ 2007-08 regular season opener in Seattle on Thursday, Nov. 1.
