Phoenix Opens Third Season Oct. 19 vs.
In their first two seasons, the RoadRunners have raised a total of $208,470 for local charities.
Highlighting the RoadRunners’ fundraising efforts this year was the organization’s inaugural “Face-Off Against Kids Cancer”, a three-month event culminated by a live jersey auction that raised nearly $20,000 for the Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders at Phoenix Children’s Hospital and Caps For Kids, a national non-profit organization which provides hats autographed by athletes and celebrities to children who lose their hair due to the effects of chemotherapy.
The top selling jersey belonged to RoadRunners goaltender Cody Rudkowsky, whose #30 sweater was purchased for $1,500.
