Series of three basketball camp sessions to focus on fundamentals and skill development
The camp is open to girls ages 8-14 and will cost $225.00 per camper, which includes all three sessions and two (2) free ticket vouchers each to attend the Mercury vs. Los Angeles Sparks on July 20 and the Mercury vs. Sacramento Monarchs on August 19 (four total free ticket vouchers). Taurasi is one of the most highly decorated collegiate players of all-time. Upon graduation she was selected with the No. 1 overall selection in the 2004 WNBA draft by the Phoenix Mercury. She averaged 17.0 points, 4.4 rebounds and 3.9 assists per game as a rookie as she was named to the Western Conference All-Star team and the WNBA Rookie of the Year. In 2005 the Mercury just missed the playoffs as Taurasi put up identical numbers. In 2006, she led the league in scoring at 25.3 points per game. In another First Team All-WNBA and All Star year, she broke the WNBA single season scoring mark as well as the single game high with 47. This summer following the World Championships, Taurasi was named USA Basketball’s Female Athlete of the Year.
